Basic Lesson Plan

If you have a decent amount of participation, this basic lesson plan should be around 30 minutes long!

BASIC LESSON PLAN LAYOUT

Explain what you will talk about today. Maybe write a quote on the board from your lesson material that shows the importance of your lesson.

Explain to your audience the importance of this quote and the importance of the topic you will discuss.

Have handouts handed out before class and have the first person read handout #1.

Ask a question from handout #1:
You could ask: What were things said in here that stand out to you? Or what things in here are important to you?

You can write these things on a whiteboard or chalkboard as they are said.

You  can comment when appropriate about what is said.
Your comments could be:
That is very important. or This one shows that.....

Next, have the person with handout #2 read.
Ask a question afterward. You could ask:
What did this handout teach us about....? or
What was the importance of the message in this handout?

Write on the chalk board or white board their answers and comment on their answers.

Next, have person with handout #3 read.
Ask a question in this one. You could ask, Did anyone get something from this?
List what they say on the chalkboard and comment on their answers.

Next, have someone read handout #4. And ask, what was said in here that (tells you what we should do in order to...?)

Now, move on to different material that has the same topic.
Explain about it. (Explain the importance of it and who or what it is about and what happens)

Now ask a question relating to the importance of what you have just explained.

If one person has answered, then comment on their answer before then asking, does anyone else have something to share about (say again what your question was about)

Now say, It is important to (what you were just talking about).

Then say, It is also important to (add something here.)

Now say, I also wanted to talk about (something else that is important.)

Then ask: why is this important?
After people comment: Summarize or expand why it is important.

Next say, I also want to talk about......
Then ask, why is it important that we (the importance of what you want to talk about)

Comment on their responses.

Read a small quote afterward that goes along with what you were talking about.

Now comment yourself on that small quote after you have read it.

Then end by telling them how what you discussed today will help them and that it will be good for them.

So this is an idea for a basic lesson plan, which you can change up to better suit your lesson. You can be creative and add stuff too!
